The AICCT will on Friday 25th November 2022 Sponsor a MICTSETA-accredited computer skills program worth an estimated value of R 90 000 to 20 beneficiaries across Emalahleni identified in collaboration with local NPO Sinqobile Ensamble & Harlow Skills SA as the training provider.
The Anglo Inyosi Coal Community Trust (AICCT) was established by Anglo-American Thermal and Anglo Inyosi (Pty)Ltd in 2007 and it became operational in 2009. AICCT is a public benefit organization, funded jointly by the donors on an annual basis, and its sole object is empowering the communities as defined in its Trust Deed The intent of AICCT is to implement a broad-based socio-economic ownership strategy by empowering communities within the geographic environs of Anglo-American Inyosi Coal mines. The geographic environs are eMalahleni and Ogies. The five focus areas for AICCT are Welfare and Humanitarianism, Health Care, Land and Housing, Education and Development Conservation, and Environment and Animal Welfare.
The trust committed to providing sponsorship for phase 1 of a MICT SETA End-user accredited computer skills program, in collaboration with local NPO Sinqobile Ensamble which will be hosting & Harlow Skills SA as the training provider. 20 beneficiaries who have been selected from Emalahleni will be given access to this NQF-level certified course, which will give them an added advantage in the ever-changing job market.
The kickoff ceremony will be held on the 25th of November 2022, at Khayalethu Student Residences Emalahleni, at the Sinqobille Ensembles computer centre.
